WHAT IS FULL MELT? Full melt is a solventless extract produced from cannabis. It's made from pure trichome heads normally found in the 90-119u range. The term "full melt" refers to the way that the resin head melts when heat is applied- when heated, it melts completely and does not leave any residue. Because the creation of full melt depends on so many factors (genetics, environment, etc.) it is an extremely desirable and limited type of hash, and because of this it is treasured amongst hash lovers and connoisseurs. To begin, cannabis is washed by being submerged into water in our Osprey, where it is gently spun to knock off the juicy trichome heads we are trying to capture. These trichome heads are drained through collection screens, which clean the hash. The hash remains on the top of the screen while undesirable material is sifted out. Different screens are utilized for different types of hash products- typically, full melt is captured in the 90-119u range, and is considered the best of the best in the hash world! Sometimes full melt can be found in both higher and lower microns, but this is the most common micron grouping. The micron grouping in which full melt hash is found varies with environment, genetics, and other factors. H O W DO I NEED TO STORE FULL MELT? We wanted to make sure that Bountiful Farms full melt captures and retains all of the precise flavors and aromas of the plant. We package our full melt with a built-in ice pack to preserve the hash exactly how our makers intended it to reach you. Keeping the full melt frozen is crucial to the preservation of the trichome heads. This will keep them in their natural sand-like state, and prevent them from greasing down or oxidizing which would eventually lead to a chalky, dry texture, decreased flavor, and a less than ideal smoking experience. We recommend bringing your own cooler and ice pack, and storing it this way on the drive home. It should go straight into your freezer. Storing full melt in the refrigerator would lead to eventual greasing. H O W IS FULL MELT DIFFERENT THAN ROSIN? Unlike rosin, full melt is not subjected to any additional heat during production- it contains the raw trichomes just as they appear on the plant. They are gently removed with the force of the water, and captured into collection bags once the water is drained. Rosin is processed by taking these raw trichomes, loading them into 25u bags, and then pressing them between two heated plates under pressure to burst or melt the trichome heads and separate the rosin from the plant material. The rosin bag captures any particulate and the result is pure, clean, vapable oil also known as hash rosin. What makes full melt so special is that the trichome heads are so pure and melt so cleanly that there is no reason to further refine the hash. The full, raw profile of the plant is preserved and not adulterated in any way. HOW DO I USE FULL MELT? Before opening your jar of full melt, you should remove it from the freezer and allow the jar to sit only until there is no visible condensation on the outside of the jar. Avoid allowing it to reach room temperature to prevent the consistency from degrading. This will maintain its original, sand-like texture. Before opening, wipe any remaining condensation off of the outside of the jar. Use a dab tool to scoop a small amount onto some parchment and use the heat of your fingers to press it into a uniform, flag-like strip. Cap the jar and place it back into the freezer until ready to be smoked again. From there you can place the full melt flag into your dab rig. We recommend dabbing at temperatures between 400-480F for the ideal experience. This retains the terpenes and captures the best flavor that the melt has to offer. Dab too hot and you will end up burning any remaining plant material, which can produce a charred flavor. WHAT SETS BF FULL MELT APART?
